Senior DevOps Engineer Dublin | Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite | Up to €100,000

The Company

A fast-growing healthcare technology company based in Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to join their engineering team. You will play a key role in designing, operating, and scaling a production AWS and Kubernetes platform used across multiple regions, supporting a mission-critical SaaS product in the healthcare sector.

The Role

  • Design, operate, and optimise AWS infrastructure including EKS clusters, VPCs, ALBs, WAFs, and multi-region networking components
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, and manage IaC with Terraform, Helm, and CloudFormation
  • Own observability across clusters using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch, including alerting and real-time dashboards
  • Manage AWS security tooling (IAM, GuardDuty, WAF, Security Hub) and ensure compliance with cloud security standards
  • Drive FinOps practices to monitor and optimise AWS spend across accounts
  • Implement backup, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies; lead incident response and service restoration
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across Development, Security, and Integrations teams

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering
  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional certification (required)
  • Deep expertise with core AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, ALB, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch)
  • Strong hands-on experience with production Kubernetes environments, including Karpenter and KEDA
  • Experience with ArgoCD and GitOps workflows
  • Proficiency with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • Solid knowledge of Docker and Helm
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, networking, and distributed systems
  • Experience with GitHub Actions CI/CD and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus)

Nice to Have

  • Background in healthcare or other regulated environments
  • Experience with FinOps and cloud cost management tools
  • Knowledge of Argo Workflows or event-driven architectures
  • Familiarity with multi-account AWS Organizations and landing zones
